ZenBrain ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a casual brain-training mini-game. We built ZenBrain with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not handle, how your information is stored, and your rights. By using ZenBrain, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Summary
ZenBrain does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All of your information โ including your nickname, language preference, game scores, progress, and play history โ is stored only on your own device. Nothing leaves your phone.
2. Information We Handle
2.1 Information stored locally on your device
To make the App work, ZenBrain saves the following data only on your device, using your device's local storage. We never have access to it:
- Profile preferences โ an optional nickname you choose, your selected language (English, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Hindi), and an optional age group.
- Game progress and scores โ your best scores, levels completed, daily streaks, and session history.
- App settings โ your in-app preferences such as theme or sound options.
This information stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data. We cannot read, retrieve, or restore it.
2.2 Information we do NOT collect
ZenBrain does not collect any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (real name, email, phone number, address)
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, photos, files, or other content on your device
- Device identifiers used for tracking or advertising
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
3. Permissions
ZenBrain requests only the minimum permissions required to function. The current version of the App does not require internet access, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions beyond its own local app data.
4. Children's Privacy
ZenBrain is suitable for general audiences and may be used by children. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union. The optional age group selection is stored only on the device and is used solely to tailor the in-app experience โ it is never transmitted to us or any third party.
5. Data Security
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security features (such as your screen lock and operating system protections). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a secure lock screen.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You are fully in control of your data:
- Access & review โ all your data is visible within the App.
- Delete โ you can clear your data through the App's settings, your device settings, or by uninstalling the App.
- No account required โ ZenBrain does not require you to create an account or sign in.
7. Third-Party Services
The current version of ZenBrain does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.
Future versions of ZenBrain may introduce optional features that rely on third-party services, such as anonymous usage analytics or advertising, to help us improve and support the App. If we add any such service, we will update this Privacy Policy, clearly disclose what data is involved, and โ where required by law โ request your consent before any data is collected. The sections below describe how those features would work if and when they are introduced.
7.1 Analytics (not active in the current version)
If analytics are added in a future version, we may use a service such as Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous, aggregated information โ for example, which games are most played or how often the App crashes โ to improve stability and gameplay. This data would not identify you personally. The relevant provider's policy would apply:
- Google / Firebase: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
7.2 Advertising (not active in the current version)
If advertising is added in a future version, we may use a service such as Google AdMob to display ads. Advertising providers may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads. Where required, we would present a consent prompt and offer options to limit personalized advertising. The relevant provider's policy would apply:
- Google AdMob: support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
8. Data Transfers
Because the current version does not transmit data off your device, no international data transfer occurs. If future versions introduce services that transfer data, we will update this policy accordingly.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
